How about KIDS that live oversea, expat’s children for instance but not belong to the mentioned categories: Foreign Service and Military?
We enroll any kids aged 5-13 around the world, regardless of their affiliation.
My daughter recently switched from an American to a British School and is struggling in math compared to her peers in her new school. This assessment showed that she is above grade level based on the American system. The detailed report we received gave us the areas of strength and weakness so we can address the gaps in knowledge. Perhaps more importantly, the results gave my daughter a boost in confidence that her struggles may be due more to the different academic systems than to a lack in her abilities, which she had previously been worried about.
This assessment confirmed that our daughter is above grade level in reading and language skills. The detailed report we received is an excellent outline of the skills expected at different grade levels, which is very important to us as we move often and change schools, countries & curriculums. The assessment was very easy for her to do independently and she felt positively about the experience.
As the American parent of a student who’s never been in the American educational system, I was curious as to whether my daughter was where she needed to be in order to fit in academically when we do eventually return to America and enroll her in school there. She completed this math assessment with no complaint and was thrilled when I told her that her results showed that she worked very hard at math and did a great job (she tested a bit more advanced than her actual grade). The results showed me what she did well at and what she struggled with, so if remedial action were needed, I’d know where to focus. Instead, I can feel confident that she’s mastered the math skills that are expected in the U.S. for her grade and that the ones with which she struggles are those that are advanced for her age and that will be studied later.

I love this program for my 8 and 6 year old daughters! We have been abroad since they began Kindergarten and the program has really given me peace of mind that they are on target with US standard schooling and curriculum. It’s great!!
We were in the pilot program, and our son has really been enjoying it. We started off with the math program to ensure he was at grade level (we assumed so, but…), and then headed over to social studies. He’s brushing up on American history, and really enjoying the program. He will even beg for MobyMax to delay bedtime. Thanks again for including us!
Christianna is doing a great job with this tutoring program. We participated in her trial run and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. My son especially loved the program and frequently pleaded to do more than I planned for. This program is a great supplemental option! I especially found it helpful to watch my son do his work and then find ways to build on it in later lessons. I highly recommend TwigaTutors!
I like the program, and I like the extra accountability it gives us. I also like that it is something my son begs to do. It has been a little challenging for me to figure out how to encourage and learn the math my son is learning through MobyMax with the math we have been doing on our own (through Right Start). This program makes the learning easy and fun.
Christianna Pangalos has been a great tutor for our son. The program is awesome. We are very happy. Our son is really engaged. We highly recommend it.

My son really enjoyed the process of taking the assessment. Because my son is tracking a few grade levels above his current grade, the assessment did take a fair amount of time. But it was totally worth it in the end to see the detailed results. It was so interesting to see exactly where his strengths are, and what should be our next areas of focus and exposure. I look forward to seeing the progress and comparisons as he continues to move through the lessons.
The English assessment was a fun process for my son. While it showed that he is tracking several grade levels above his current grade and that he has a strong vocabulary, it also showed that it would be beneficial to him to learn more grammar rules. This has not been a focus for him in the past, and now that we are aware of the deficit we can focus on it going forward. He is excited to see his progress in this area.
This assessment is great for those not currently in the U.S. educational system as it helps you know what your child’s skills are. My child was happy to take the test. It was a good length as it was not so long that she got bored. I liked the feedback since it detailed very particular areas so you can easily see where you child need work.
This is a great assessment for those not US students not currently enrolled in the U.S. system. The test was a good length as my child stayed engaged and didn’t get bored. I liked the detailed results which are broken out by area. That makes it easy to tell where extra work would be the most useful.
Both of my children (ages 7 and 9) completed this assessment. They enjoyed doing it and when complete it provided us valuable info on their specific strengths and weaknesses so we could figure out how to best help the kids academically. The kids have changed schools every couple of years, and their assessment results would fluctuate depending on which test the school administers. This test gave us a good baseline to see where the kids stand compared to US standards. Over all, a good experience for the kids that provided valuable information for us!

I would like to comment on the efficiency of TwigaTutors approach to math tutoring. My daughter finished her 6th grade in May, but the enrollment test showed that she had some areas back from fifth and sixth grades that needed to be addressed. That did not come as a surprise to me – being a Foreign Service family and changing schools and programs every two to three years I anticipated that there were some math concepts that were overlooked.
I enrolled my daughter into this program in the beginning of June. Between summer travel and other activities, she was able to work on her math 30 min. each day on the average. The weekly e-mails from her teacher, Emily Batson, helped a lot to monitor my daughter’s progress, to pinpoint the areas of needed improvement and to encourage the student to go ahead and to not give up.
I am happy to report that after three months of TwigaTutoring, my daughter scored very high on the MAP math test that the mid-schoolers took in the beginning of the year. Actually, her score was higher than most of 8th graders. The most positive result about it is that she herself feels much more confident around math concepts. I was always supplementing school math at home with different exercise books, but TwigaTutors’ systematic approach makes sure that none of the very important topics will be missed and overlooked. I have purchased three more months of the Math training program, and I feel confident that this approach and support is exactly what my child needs.

Hi Sandra! We currently teach Computer Science to K-8 students. We plan to expand to K-12 in the second half of 2019.
